Important Duties:

·       Supporting the development of innovation and commercialization of strategic and necessary technologies of the country within the framework of the comprehensive scientific map of the country

·       Creating the national mechanism for support of knowledge-based activities of agencies of the country with the goal of facilitation and distribution of innovation

·       Recognizing and supporting leading industries with the benefit of innovation and commercialization in the country and supervising and evaluating the intrusion of strategic technologies in industries

·       Supporting the marketing of innovative products, especially through the prioritization of domestic products and services

·       Supporting the development of units supporting innovation and commercialization, such as growth centers and science and technology parks with an emphasis on the participation of the private sector

·       Planning and following up the implementation of national technology and innovation macro projects with the goal of domestic production of strategic and sensitive technologies

·       Planning the development of the infrastructures required for the exchange of technology and commercialization of knowledge-based products inside the country

·       Planning, guiding and monitoring the university-industry-market cooperation

·       Supporting the investment of financial agencies in the production and commercialization of science and technology in the form of support investment and venture capitals

·       Designing and guiding the innovation centers and accelerators with the goal of presenting support services of “idea to market” and mediating legal, financial, technical, and administrative units in the prioritized science and technology topics
